We have two internal teams managing investment portfolios on behalf of a global client base: one managing systematic tail hedging and diversifying quantitative strategies and a second managing a European Long/Short Equities portfolio.
Paladin Quantitative Solutions
The Paladin Quantitative Solutions strategy launched in 2018 and aims to provide investors with protection from sharp dislocations in global equity and bond markets without the typical burden of negative carry associated with tail hedging strategies.
We utilise process-driven quantitative and qualitative analysis, as well as a strong focus on risk management, to generate attractive liquid portfolios for clients. Our coverage and deep understanding of a wide range of risk premia factors enables a high degree of customisation to client requirements. A combination of systematic long volatility, convexity, momentum and mean reversion strategies are utilized together with low beta carry strategies designed to compensate for time decay. These strategies can be customized and optimized for clients in standalone funds or managed accounts.
Engadine Long/Short Equity
The Engadine Long/Short Equity strategy launched in 2016 and was founded by Marcello Sallusti, former Deputy CIO at Egerton Capital with a 28-year track record in European stock picking.
Marcello and his Investment team employ a fundamental approach to investing, believing that over time, company share prices follow EPS and CFPS. The portfolio is built bottom-up and the long positions include Europe’s most attractive, proven compounders whilst the short positions include Europe’s worst declining business models, inefficient capital allocators, unsustainable balance sheet and aggressive accounting.
